At the end of each year, aTeam makes a giving request. 2019 marked aTeam's tenth year as a ministry; so we decided to make it a party! Gifts were made in celebration of the patient families we have helped in our first ten years and in anticipation of the families we will meet in our next ten years.
Enduring hardships + Celebrating victories
Many days on the cancer journey will not bring good news. aTeam is there when those days come, with a warm meal, a bed outside of hospital walls, or just a shoulder to lean on. aTeam is also there to praise God on the days that scans are clean and a kid gets to go home to their siblings for the first time in months. The pediatric cancer journey is a rollercoaster, to say the least. We hoped this year-end giving campaign would provide an opportunity to celebrate the fact that—good scans or bad—these families are not alone. We also hoped to communicate that the gifts of many make this possible.
