Nuud Skin Co emerged out of a need for skincare for people who live life hard. Karlie, the founder, decided to make this her mission after travel nursing Out West, where the sun is serious (to say the least.) Skin health is very important to her, but so is adventure! She built Nuud Skin Co to help clients be more confidence in their healthy, natural skin.

I love a cheeky tagline. Karlie dove into the skincare world after spending several years out West (a woman after my own heart) as a travel nurse. She was spending a lot of time outside in the sun, which is hard on your skin! She wanted healthy skin, but she wasn’t about to stop adventuring in order to achieve it. She started Nuud Skin Co to teach us that being on-the-go or enjoying the sunshine doesn’t mean we have to compromise our skin health. She aims to educate each client on best practices for their skin type so we can all be confident in our natural, healthy skin and keep doing what we love!

Karlie has both hands in her business. When we began our work together, she told me that she was excited to run the social media for Nuud Skin Co herself, she just needed the right tools to do it! She had already started creating content for her business in Canva (I love a DIY girl) so a Canva Brand Kit was a perfect fit.

She has her entire brand identity—logos, colors, typography (with a cheat sheet!), and illustrative elements—at her fingertips. She can create and schedule content or post on the fly with confidence that her content is putting Nuud Skin Co’s best foot forward.

A brand is never “just a logo.” In fact, the logo is a small part of a well-developed brand. Before creating a visual identity, Karlie and I worked together to nail down her brand strategy. We talked through her unwavering brand values, who her client is, what she wants that client to believe about themselves and the world after an interaction with Nuud Skin Co, and (most importantly) why she started Nuud Skin Co in the first place. These conversations informed every decision made in creating the Nuud Skin Co brand identity and inform every situation Karlie makes in sharing this brand with the world!
