Heart2heart is aTeam's biggest event of the year. We match a group of pediatric cancer patients with local artists, and together they create two pieces of art to be sold at auction at our spring gala. Heart2heart 2021 was a night full of grace, joy, and growth. We celebrated the gifts of five talented patient artists and local artists and introduced the first ever winner of aTeam's new college scholarship!

Meet the Artist.

Our patient artists are the celebrities of the evening, making a grand entrance from the doors of a limo onto a red carpet where they are met with cheering and applause. This night is for them. We celebrate their fight, their bravery, and their joy.

Heart2heart provides our supporters the opportunity to celebrate these kids with us, to get to know some of the families who are being directly impacted by their generosity and to see their gifts at work.

If you’re really sick in Alabama, you go to Birmingham. This reality has indelibly shaped our city. It is why aTeam is here, and why we have grown deep roots in Birmingham over the years. We have eyes and ears all over town helping us find families who are facing a new, shocking diagnosis so we can help—if nothing else, than just to say “Hey, we’ve been where you are. We’re here for you now.” Year after year, the generosity of our community bolsters the success of heart2heart, with donated auction items, sponsorships, and more, so that we can continue to be here for patient families.
